Airports Company South Africa (ACSA) is proud to announce its exceptional performance at the 2026 Skytrax World Airport Awards, which were held on Wednesday, 18th March 2026, during the Passenger Terminal EXPO in London, United Kingdom. With multiple airports across its network receiving top honours and rankings. These accolades reaffirm ACSA’s commitment to delivering world-class airport infrastructure, operational excellence, and an outstanding passenger experience.
Leading the achievements is Cape Town International Airport, which has once again been recognised as the Best Airport in Africa, marking an 11th consecutive year of this recognition, in addition to receiving awards for Best Airport Staff in Africa and Cleanest Airport in Africa. This remarkable achievement underscores the airport’s consistent dedication to service excellence and passenger satisfaction.
O. R. Tambo International Airport continues to demonstrate its stature as a key continental hub, securing the position of 2nd Best Airport in Africa. The InterContinental Johannesburg O.R. Tambo Airport hotel was also ranked among the Top 5 Airport Hotels in Africa, highlighting the quality of hospitality services available within ACSA’s ecosystem.
King Shaka International Airport delivered a strong performance, ranking 4th Best Airport in Africa, 2nd Best Regional Airport in Africa, and placing 10th globally in the 5–10 million passenger category, a testament to its growing prominence and operational efficiency.
ACSA’s local airports also received notable recognition:
- Chief Dawid Stuurman International Airport – 4th Best Regional Airport in Africa
- King Phalo Airport – 6th Best Regional Airport in Africa
- Bram Fischer International Airport – 5th Best Regional Airport in Africa
